Supplier Development Engineer (SDE) (Powertrain System)
Scope and Responsibilities:
- The candidate is required to work in supplier facilities to improve the supplier in a comprehensive way.
- Communicate frequently with SD manager and customer, and report regularly on the project progress.
- Solve problems, and coordinate with the supplier and customer in a proactive manner.
- Handle the suppliers’ project management, concerns the suppliers’ product quality, manufacturing process, production, capacity, delivery, cost, logistics optimization, etc.
- Develop and improve supplier relationships and ensure the vendors are providing maximum service and highest quality.
- Travel to customer's location when needed.
Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing & supply chain area, Automotive industry experience is preferred
- Concrete knowledge in Powertrain system (i.e. Cylinder system, piston, crankshaft, etc.) and in the manufacturing processes related
- Solid experience and good understanding in the issues and concerns related to supplier improvement (product, process, quality, delivery, cost, SQDCM, etc.)
- Demonstrate experience in lean manufacturing used in conjunction with statistical tools to drive process improvements
- Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) understanding and Production Products Approval Process (PPAP) experiences are required
- Years’ experience in Project Management (Automotive Industry is preferred)
- Good oral and written English

Scope and Responsibilities:
The candidate is required to work in the supplier facilities to improve the supplier in a comprehensive way. Communicate frequently with SD manager and customer, and report regularly on the project progress. Solve the problems, and coordinate with the supplier and customer in a proactive manner. The scope of work is in south east China where the candidate will require to travel when needed. Develop and improve supplier relationships and ensure the vendors are providing maximum service and highest quality.
Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the manufacturing & supply chain area, Automotive industry experience is preferred
- Concrete knowledge in Electronic products (e.g. LCD, PCB, PCBA, SMT), and in the manufacturing processes related
- Solid experience and good understanding of the issues and concerns related to supplier improvement (product, process, quality, delivery, cost, SQDCM, etc.)
- Demonstrate experience in lean manufacturing used in conjunction with statistical tools to drive process improvements
- Experience in project management
- Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) understanding and Production Products Approval Process (PPAP) experiences are required
- Good oral and written English
- Ability to use problem solving tools ie 8D
